Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Edishouse LLC (“we”, “us”) covering your use of CleaningCalc. By creating an account you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a business, you confirm you may bind that business.

What the service is

CleaningCalc is a pricing and quoting tool for cleaning businesses. It models what an hour of cleaning work costs you — wages, statutory employment costs, supplies, travel and unbillable time — and prices jobs to a gross margin you choose. It produces quotes and proposals you can send to your own customers.

What the service is not

The figures it produces are estimates, and you remain responsible for the prices you charge. We are not your accountant, payroll bureau, insurance broker or lawyer, and nothing in the application is professional advice.

We publish employment figures for every US state — minimum wage, unemployment insurance, workers’ compensation, paid sick leave and overtime rules — with their sources and the date they were checked. Rates change, sources contain errors, and some jurisdictions publish nothing at all. The application marks every figure it cannot stand behind and asks you to supply your own. You must verify against your own payroll records, insurance policy and state accounts before relying on a price. We are not liable for a job priced too low.

Your account

  • You are responsible for keeping access to your email secure, since signing in is by emailed link.
  • One account is for one business. Do not share access with people outside it.
  • You own the data you enter — your settings, customers, quotes and branding.
  • You must not use the service unlawfully, or attempt to reach another customer’s data.

Subscription and payment

  • The service is sold as a subscription, billed monthly or yearly in advance, whichever you choose.
  • New accounts get a 14-day free trial, available once per account. Card details are required to start it, but no charge is made until the trial ends. Cancel before then and you are not billed.
  • Unless you cancel, the subscription begins automatically when the trial ends and renews monthly until you cancel it.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • You may cancel at any time from the billing portal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and are not charged again.
  • Refunds are covered by our refunds and cancellation policy.
  • We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email. If you do not accept the new price, cancel before it takes effect.

If payment fails

If a payment fails we will keep trying for a short period and email you. Access continues during that window so an expired card does not lock you out mid-quote. If it is still unpaid after that, access to the application stops. Your data is not deleted when a subscription lapses — sign in and restart the subscription and it is where you left it.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or withdraw features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you are paying for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of the current period.

Ending the agreement

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, does not pay, or is being used to attack the service or other customers. Where the breach is not serious we will contact you first.

Closing your account deletes it immediately. Your subscription is cancelled, and your settings, customers, quotes and branding are removed from live systems; backups age out on their normal cycle. There is no waiting period and no copy kept on our side, which is the point of it — so download your data first. The button sits on the same page as the one that closes the account.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost contracts, or for a price you quoted that turned out to be wrong; and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States, and disputes are subject to the courts there.
